The Project

In September 2020, we were commissioned by Aleramo S.r.l a project for the construction of the “La Cascinassa” Wind Farm in the municipality of Cairo Montenotte (SV). The area of intervention is located on the heights at the base of which lies the town of Montenotte Superiore.

The project involved the construction of a wind farm through the construction of five wind towers with an attached electrical plant cabin and substation. The new plant included the installation of three-bladed wind turbines with a rated power of 4,000 KW.

Starting from this request, in the period from October 26, 2020 to September 23, 2021, we started all construction activities in the site area. The foundation of the wind towers was made in a circular shape with a diameter of about 20 m.

The wind farm was connected to the national transmission power grid via a power delivery cabin and a substation, for transforming the energy produced and feeding it into the grid. The power line was completely underground.

As for the access road to the towers, some new sections of service road inside the wind farm were built. In addition, minor widening and landscaping of the existing road was carried out to allow for the transport and assembly of the towers.

The land and rocks obtained from the excavations were reused on site for the execution of the backfilling required by the project, which involved the construction of the wind tower pads, the backfilling of the foundations, and the adjustment of the access road.
